Support Not Stigma

Changing the way society supports and views those battling substance use disorders and mental health challenges.

With extensive experience in the fields of human services, behavioral health, advocacy, research, and social work, Allison Jimenez and Heather Howard birthed Support Not Stigma. After years of seeing gaps in services, they decided to marry their strengths to better support our communities and those experiencing the highest rates of stigma. Collectively, they have over 30 years of experience supporting perinatal women, children, returning citizens, and all people who have experienced immense, life-altering trauma.

“At Support Not Stigma, our mission is to decrease barriers to behavioral health care, reduce stigma, educate others, and strengthen systems of support for mental health and substance use by equipping people with the skills to be trauma-informed advocates for themselves and others.”
